Privacy Policy
The short version
This policy says in plain words what Snow Survival stores, what it shares and who to ask. It covers the game on iPhone (App Store) and on Android (Google Play), and it is written for the grown-ups who look after the children who play.
- Your progress is stored on your phone only. There are no accounts and no sign-in, and we (Aplogon) have no server that receives anything from the game.
- On iPhone the game has no ads. On Android it can show short opt-in videos and one small banner, from ad networks set up for children's apps, without the advertising ID.
- Purchases are made through Apple or Google. We never see card or payment details.
- Every purchase is confirmed on Apple's or Google's own purchase screen, where the store's parental controls (Ask to Buy, Screen Time, Google Play purchase approval) apply. On iPhone the game sends nothing to Unity or to us.
Who we are
Snow Survival is made by Aplogon, an independent app developer. Aplogon is responsible for this game and this policy. Questions: apexfordinith@gmail.com.
What the game stores, and where
Snow Survival keeps your progress on your own phone only: the levels you finished, your settings, your gems, the outfits and pets you own, and a list of your purchases (the order number and the price the store showed, so a purchase is never granted twice and a grown-up can see what was bought). There are no accounts and no sign-in. The game does not ask you to type your name, e-mail address or age, asks for no location permission, and does not read your contacts or photos. None of this is sent to us.
If your phone's own backup is turned on (for example iCloud Backup on an iPhone), the backup may include the game's files so they can come back on a new phone; Apple or Google keep that copy under your account's backup settings, and we never receive it.
On iPhone the game sends nothing to Unity or to us: it has no ad software, no analytics and no server, and its purchase code talks only to Apple. On Android the ad networks may handle some technical information of their own, as the section on ads describes. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies (see Purchases).
Ads
On iPhone: Snow Survival has no ads. The iPhone version contains no advertising software, shows no ads and never asks for permission to track you. Free bonuses that are videos on Android are simply given on iPhone.
On Android: Snow Survival can show short opt-in videos (you tap a button that says what it gives, then confirm) and one small banner on the home screen. There are no full-screen ads you did not ask for, no ad appears while you play, and none appears before the first island is finished.
Child-directed setting (Android). Everyone who plays is treated as a child, and the game never asks how old you are. The game tells every ad network that the app is directed to children. The ads come only from networks that are approved for children's apps on Google Play, are never chosen from who you are (no personalised or interest-based ads), do not use your advertising ID (the game removes the permission to read it), and are limited to a children's content rating.
The ad networks switched on (Android):
- Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), the service that chooses which network shows an ad: Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy
- Unity Ads: the same Unity policy
What the ad networks may process (Android). To show an ad, an ad network may process technical information such as your device's IP address (from which a rough location, such as the country, can be estimated), a device or app identifier that is not the advertising ID, the type of device and its software, whether an ad was shown or tapped, and diagnostic information about its own software. Because the app is marked as directed to children, this is used only for internal operations: choosing a suitable contextual ad, limiting how often the same ad is shown (frequency capping), keeping the service working and preventing fraud. It is not used to build a profile, to follow you across other apps, to show interest-based ads, or for anything else.
Where ads are shown, and where they are not (Android). Before it starts an ad network the game checks the phone's region setting, its time zone and, where the store tells it, the store's country. It never starts an ad network when any of them points to the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or Brazil, or when it cannot tell where you are.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple (on iPhone) or Google Play (on Android), under their own privacy policies. The game never sees a card number or any payment detail. The store tells the game that a purchase happened (an order number) so it can give you what you bought; the game keeps that order number and the price text on your phone only. The part of the game that talks to the store is Unity In-App Purchasing, made by Unity Technologies. The game uses a copy of it that is changed so that it sends no purchase information to Unity: it talks only to Apple's or Google's store.
Parental controls. The game asks no question of its own before a purchase or a link. Every purchase is confirmed on the store's own purchase screen, with the store's own sign-in or confirmation, and Apple's Ask to Buy and Screen Time and Google Play's purchase approval for supervised accounts (Family Link) apply. Links that leave the game (the privacy policy, the support e-mail and the store's refund page) open directly. On the game's Grown-ups page a grown-up can switch real-money purchases off, which hides every price, and see the most recent purchases.
How long we keep data
- Progress, settings and the list of owned items, on your phone: so you can play; kept until you reset progress (gems, owned items and the purchase list are kept on purpose) or remove the game.
- Order numbers and the price text of purchases, on your phone: to avoid granting a purchase twice and to show a grown-up what was bought; kept until you remove the game.
- An e-mail you send us (and, on Android, a “Report this ad” message): to reply and to review the ad; kept only as long as needed to reply or review, then deleted.
- What the ad networks process to show an ad (Android only, where ads run): for the internal operations described above; kept as each network states in its own policy.
- Payment records: kept by Apple or Google under their own policies.
Diagnostics and test versions
The game engine's own diagnostics, analytics, crash and performance reporting are switched off in the store versions, so the engine sends no diagnostics to its maker. The purchase statistics that Unity In-App Purchasing would otherwise send to Unity are removed from the game. The game has no analytics of its own.
Special test versions (for example a Google Play closed test) write a small file on the phone that counts events, such as how many times the shop was opened. It contains no name or identifier, is never sent anywhere automatically, and a tester can choose to copy a summary of the counts into a message. Store versions do not write it.
What we receive
We receive information only if you write to us. Then we get your e-mail address and your message; the e-mail the game opens has the game's name and version in the subject line. We use it only to answer you, and we never sell it. The stores also give us their own reports about sales, and statistics and crash reports that do not identify you.
Children's privacy
Snow Survival is made for everyone and is treated as a game children play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, we do not ask for anyone's age, and we do not link what a child does in the game to a person. A parent or guardian who has a question, or who believes a child has sent us personal information, can write to apexfordinith@gmail.com and we will help, and delete it.
Deletion and your choices
Nothing about you is held on a server by the game, so there is nothing for us to delete there. You can delete everything the game stores by resetting progress (Settings › Reset progress; gems, outfits, pets and purchases are kept on purpose) and by removing the game from your phone. On Android, ad data is held by the ad networks under their own policies (see Ads). Because the game itself collects no personal data and shows no consent form, there is no consent to withdraw; if that ever changes, this policy will say so first. For any request about data, write to apexfordinith@gmail.com and we will reply.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, on Android through Google Play's refund page. A grown-up can also open the right one from the game's Grown-ups page. Gems never expire and cannot be turned back into money.
Where the game is offered
Snow Survival is not offered in the European Economic Area (the 27 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil or China mainland. If we ever offer it in Europe, any ads there would first ask for consent through a consent tool that meets the rules for children, and this policy will say so before the change.
Security
The game's files are kept in its private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot read. The store and ad services connect over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so protect your phone with a screen lock.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version replaces this one at the same address and says what changed. Questions: apexfordinith@gmail.com.
What changed on 23 October 2026: the grown-up question before purchases and links was removed (the store's own purchase confirmation and parental controls apply), and the game's purchase code no longer sends purchase information to Unity.
