Using Skopo
Skopo is provided by Aplogon, an independent app developer based in Sri Lanka. It opens files you choose and shows them as a JSON or XML tree, a CSV table, text and logs, or bytes in a hex view, with search, copying, editing, saving, converting and sharing. By using the app you agree to these terms. You must be at least 16 years old to use Skopo.
Your files
Only open, edit and share files you have the right to use. Skopo reads JSON, CSV, XML and text the way their common standards describe; it checks that JSON and XML are well formed, but it does not validate files against schemas, run any code in them, or guarantee that every file, dialect or encoding reads the way another program reads it. When a file isn't valid, Skopo says where, and you can still open it as text or hex.
Changes you make in Skopo are written to a file only when you save. Replacing a file overwrites it, which cannot be undone in Skopo, so keep a copy of anything important before you save over it. Skopo asks you to confirm before it replaces a file.
Free version and Skopo Pro
- Skopo is free to use with ads (see the Privacy Policy). The free version opens JSON, CSV and XML files as trees and tables up to 5 MB, and text, logs and any file in hex at any size (text up to 2 GB); it includes search with match case and whole words, copying values, paths and lines, File Info, sharing, and editing JSON in the tree, bytes in hex and text files up to 1 MB. You can watch a short ad to open one larger file, save once or export once each time.
- Skopo Pro removes ads and adds saving your edits (replacing the file or saving a copy), trees and tables for files up to 25 MB, converting and exporting (formatted or minified JSON, CSV to JSON, JSON to CSV, XML to JSON, formatted XML and filtered log lines), regular-expression search, JSONPath queries and CSV column summaries.
- Skopo Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play, not a subscription: you pay once and it never renews. The price is shown in the app before you buy, and payment is charged to your Google Play account.
- Pro unlocks on any device signed in to the same Google account (use Settings › Restore Purchases), for as long as Skopo is offered on Google Play.
- If a purchase is refunded, Pro features switch off. Your files and settings are not affected.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies.
The app's content
Skopo's design, samples, texts and icon are Aplogon's own work. Skopo uses the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces under the SIL Open Font License; the licences of the software it uses are listed in Settings › Open-Source Licences.
Liability
Skopo is provided “as is”. We work hard to read and write every file correctly, but we can't guarantee that every file opens, converts or saves as you expect on every phone and with every app that holds files. To the extent the law allows, Aplogon is not liable for lost or changed data, for decisions made on the basis of what Skopo shows, or for losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
